Servnote ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Servnote application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using Servnote, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. The Three-Layer Privacy Architecture

Servnote is built on a strict three-layer privacy model:

• Public Profile (Layer 1): Information you explicitly choose to make public — your display name, job title, industry, and workplace. Visible to anyone you share your profile link with.
• Private Memory (Layer 2): Notes, photos, physical descriptions, and relationship flags you create about other people. This information is encrypted and accessible ONLY to you. The subject of a private record never has access to it, cannot request it, and is not notified of its existence.
• Team Notes (Layer 3): Notes you explicitly mark as shared with verified co-workers at your workplace. Visible only to verified members of your team.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including: account registration data (name, email), profile information, private notes and records you create, photos you upload, and usage data. We do not perform facial recognition or biometric analysis on any photos.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Servnote service, authenticate your identity, deliver broadcast notifications from professionals you follow, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your private records are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual records at any time within the app. To request full account and data deletion, email [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days in compliance with GDPR and CCPA requirements.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. EU and UK users may lodge complaints with their local supervisory authority. California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA by contacting us at [email protected].

7. Photo Privacy

Photos uploaded to Servnote are stored with encryption and are never shared with the subject of the photo, never used for facial recognition, and never used for advertising. Private photos are accessible only to the user who uploaded them.

8. Age Requirement

Servnote is strictly for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data immediately.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption for stored data, TLS for data in transit, and access controls. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and report any suspected security issues to [email protected].
